Lent 2017: Nothing Compared to Him

This season of Lent has opened my eyes up to all the sacrifices God made for us and how we take them for granted. Through this year’s Lent, I wish to be more appreciative of what God has done for us by letting go of small things that distract me from what is truly important: Jesus.

Lent 2017: Music is My Idol

It has only been 2 days and my ears are itching for some music. But when this happens, I think, “If this is a challenge for me, just imagine what Jesus felt and went through while he fasted for 40 days in the desert.”

Psalm 100: 23rd Edition

The title alone should tell you all about the urgency that the song is trying to get across.

Lent 2017: If I Can Do It, Anyone Can

Thinking about Lent helped me put it into perspective that God had sacrificed so much for us. While we are all probably struggling with our sacrifices, nothing comes close to the great sacrifice God gave for us.

Lent 2017: To Know Our God

So we ask ourselves, can we really know God? The answer to this question can be found on every page of scripture.

Lent 2017: Couch Potato Starts Making Changes for God!

I had always thought that Lent was about giving something up in order to become closer to God, but I recently learned that Lent is also actually about disciplining yourself in preparation for Jesus’ death on Good Friday and His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Lent: Suffering and Joy

When I was in middle school, my father forced me to give up dinner for the whole season of Lent to participate in the suffering of Christ. That was forty days of no dinner!

Psalm 100: 20th Edition

We often ask ourselves in times of loneliness, “Who will help me? Who will love me? Who will be my true friend?”
