Pastor Daniel’s Pick of the Week
Be Thou My Vision was the song that encouraged me to endure through my long and arduous seminary years. Through the financial, academic, and emotional difficulties, this old hymn always reminded me why I had first dedicated my life to be a pastor. If I had aspired to money or fame, I would not have answered my pastoral calling. But I said yes to God’s invitation because I found the eternal treasure in Christ. And Be Thou My Vision was the song that reminded me of this amazing truth.
Until this day, I sing Be Thou My Vision whenever I feel my devotion for God gets weakened, and it never fails to renew my heart for the Lord. I hope and pray that as you sing and listen to this song, God will do the same for you as well.
