Introducing the Emmaus Journey

the-emmaus-journey

DSYG is very excited to announce the Emmaus Journey, a new blog on dongsanyg.com that will feature submissions from DSYG students!

The Emmaus Journey draws its name from the story told in Luke 24:13-35. In the story, two men are leaving Jerusalem for a village named Emmaus. As they are traveling, they meet a stranger and talk to him about Jesus’ death and rumors of His resurrection. At the completion of their journey, they invite the stranger to dinner. As the stranger breaks bread with the men, their eyes are opened and they realize the stranger they had been walking with was, in fact, Jesus the whole time.

We imagine, for many of our students, the walk of faith has felt very similar. However, we also believe and trust that whether we are walking with God or walking away from Him, Jesus walks with us. Our hope is that by writing for and reading the Emmaus Journey, students will be able to realize this essential truth.

If you are interested in writing for the Emmaus Journey, please contact Pastor Dan or Ben TE.

  1. The hardest time I think is when God is silent💁🏽💁🏽…even Jesus on the cross said “My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me”? However its in this eleventh hour that God manifests himself as the one who is “The lifter up of our heads…”!! … in our darkest hour, he’s right there… “I threw three men in the fire, but now I see four, and the fourth one looks like the son of God; Daniel3:23-24,💁🏽🙋🏽🙋🏽”… He’s always there 🙏🏾
