Lent 2017: Jojo’s Meme Adventures
Now, before I get into my actual reflection, I just wanted to make a quick comment, something of a disclaimer. Prior to writing this reflection, I have read through the reflections of a few others, and mine may seem a bit nihilistic in comparison, but it is really not meant to be in that fashion; It is simply the recollection of what I thought during Lent.
Lent 2017: Zoned Out
I am grateful that I participated this Lent because, without it, I probably would not have thought this deeply about church and just relied on some distraction for my problems.
Lent 2017: The Odd One Out
Through my Lent commitment and my experiences these past 4 years leading up to now when I am about to graduate, I realized that even though I had a lot of ups and downs, God was with me through every single one of those moments, and I also learned that our God is a God who can turn our negative experiences into positive learning experiences.
Lent 2017: Not an Unproductive Lent
I hope that this leads me to eventually think of a Lenten commitment that will really change my life in the long run. Something that really comes from a place of wanting to get closer to God; something that can help me acknowledge and even embrace His presence wherever I go and whatever I do.
Lent 2017: Small Acts of Kindness
Throughout the past few weeks, I have learned to be more patient and be more ready to love and forgive. Building or rebuilding relationships with people is difficult, but I feel like anything is possible through the love of Jesus Christ. The positive results of getting closer to my family and God has truly inspired me to continue and spread the love.
