Pastor Dan’s Pick Of The Week
Editor’s Note: This song was previously submitted in the sixty-ninth edition of Psalm 100. In this post, Pastor Dan shares another perspective on this impactful song.
John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the Bible. It says, “Jesus wept.” This short verse may not seem significant to many people until they face a tragically sorrowful moment in life as Mary and Martha did when their beloved brother Lazarus died at a young age. When Jesus came to Lazarus’ funeral, he didn’t say much, but He simply wept together with Mary and Martha. Now, stop for a moment and think about the significance of the Son of God weeping for a mere man’s death. That’s incredibly moving because it shows us that our God deeply cares about our suffering. If you are going through a distressful season, know that our Lord is weeping with you right now. May the song “Weep with Me” help you experience this truth in your heart today.
