Psalm 100: 77th Edition

Jonny TE’s Pick Of The Week .

Salvation Is Here by Hillsong Worship is the one song that every bassist should at one point in their life be something they learn how to play. After all there are not many songs that features what the bass guitar is capable of. Throughout my time on praise team, my praise team members tried their best to force me to learn that song. For a long time I refused to learn how to play Salvation Is Here not just to spite my praise team members for forcing that song down my throat, it was because to me no one ever thinks about the message of the song, only the crazy bass solo. The song proclaims that we have salvation from the world of sin, and that salvation is Jesus. Once we are saved, we do not lose that salvation. We may feel at times that we do not deserved this salvation, and yet God still saved us. Next time you hear this song, do not think about the crazy bass solo in the middle of the song, think about despite how undeserving we are, we were still loved and we were saved from our sins.
