Recently, I went over John 3:16. For God “so loved” the world. We are so loved. First, God loves us in a very special way. How much did He love us? That He gave His only begotten Son. Look at that close and “only” means so much. There is only one Jesus. Only the love of Jesus could love the undeserving by undeservingly dying for us. We can only  learn true love by the example of Christ. Good Good Father shows that Christ doesn’t  give  us love us by showering us with gifts or by talentedly writing us poems or love songs. What Christ  gave us sacrifice, obedience to the Father, emptying Himself on the cross. Only God loves us in this perfect way! It’s who He is. We are the “beloved,” even though we do not deserve to be. It is who we are.
