Nothing But The Blood is a fairly popular song that’s been remade by many Christian artists. I think there’s a reason why it’s so popular and sung by many artists. The song speaks of a simple truth that nothing can wash our sin except for the blood of Jesus Christ. Whenever I sing or listen to this song, I’m reminded of the gospel and what the ultimate sacrificial lamb, Jesus, means for us. It’s a simple truth that we won’t have life or hope without the blood of Jesus. And reminding myself of this truth brings joy and thankfulness because such a sacrifice was made for me and my sinfulness. So I hope that as you sing or listen to this song, you would listen to the lyrics and be remindful of how grateful we should be.
