Psalm 100: 44th Edition

There are days, months, even years when I ask myself am I truly saved? A long time ago when I was a student in DSYG I believed that by doing works such as missions, serving on the praise team, and be a good role model was what assured me my salvation. As I got older I learned that this is simply not the case. The best way for me to explain it is through the classic hymn Blessed Assurance. Blessed Assurance to me is defined as to feel confidently assured that this person is who they say they are, will have your back and has your best interest at heart. As the hymn states when God is the center of our life, everything is at rest. Now this does not mean everything you want in life is going to happen. What it does mean is that with God besides us, we will be at peace.
