Psalm 100: 43rd Edition

Brother Paul’s Pick of the Week.

“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and may share His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death.”

Philippians 3:8-10
English Standard Version

Crowns by Hillsong Worship talks about when we come to know God, everything else becomes loss to us. This means that everything else other than God, becomes like nothing. We do not need anything else in life because we have something so much greater, God. We then count everything else as rubbish so that we can know more of God. So our wealth is in the cross of God. We do not need anything else but Him. Everything else would not mean anything to us anymore because we now have Christ. It is easy to forget about how great God is, but this worship song in particular reminds us of how great God truly is.
