In Christ Alone does an excellent job of what the gospel is. The song is focused on what Jesus has done for us and what comes out of following Jesus. This song is a perfect example of the lyrics being more powerful than the music. If you read the first verse it talks about who Jesus is to us. The second and third verse talks about what he did for us, what was done to him, and what he accomplished. The last verse is just one huge declaration to the world that with the power of Christ with us, who can really stop us?
