O Come To The Altar is one of the newest songs that was introduced to the EM congregation for worship; which encourages the members to tap into their true selves as they sing and cry out to God. With the lyrics encouraging the congregation to come with all of their pain and suffering, the song enables the church to sing as one, since all of us are constantly struggling with our sins. One good example from the songs encouraging words to surrender to the Lord is the line: “Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy” which encourages one to surrender their burden to God.”
